Gozalandia Waterfall, Waterfall in Sector Lechuza, San Sebastián, Puerto Rico
Gozalandia features a main waterfall that plunges roughly 50 feet (15 meters) into a deep blue-green pool, with a second smaller cascade located about a quarter mile upstream along a well-maintained trail.
Once a difficult-to-reach spot accessible only through a cow pasture, Gozalandia gained wider recognition after appearing in the Hollywood film A Perfect Getaway and has since been developed with paved paths and facilities.
Known locally by several names including Las Cataratas, La Cascada del Guama, and Charca El Roble, the falls have long been a gathering spot for residents who enjoy picnics, music, and swimming on weekends.
The site charges around $10 for parking and operates from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, with restrooms, a restaurant, and bar available near the entrance for visitor convenience throughout the day.
The main waterfall includes a partially submerged cave where swimmers can surface inside an air pocket, and adventurous visitors often jump from the top into the pool about 30 feet (9 meters) below.
