Dsegh's Lakes are two naturally connected water bodies situated in a bowl-shaped depression on the northern slope of Mount Tsovighash within the Sevordi mountain range. The lakes form a unified hydrological system surrounded by alpine terrain and rocky formations.

The Armenian government designated this location as a natural monument in 2008 through a protection decree aimed at preserving its geological formations. This designation reflected broader efforts to safeguard the nation's natural heritage.

The Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan organized frequent literary gatherings near these water bodies, making them a hub for creative figures of his time. The location still carries this connection to Armenian letters, felt by visitors walking through the quiet surroundings.

A three-hour trek from Dsegh village reaches the lakes via well-established trails through the mountain landscape. Wear sturdy footwear and bring weather-appropriate clothing, as conditions at this elevation can change quickly.

The shores feature white mineral deposits that create a strong visual contrast against the surrounding mountain vegetation. These light-colored formations result from natural geological processes specific to the basin's composition.
