Leeraner Miniaturland, Modellbaulandschaft in Ostfriesland, Niedersachsen, Deutschland
Leeraner Miniaturland is a miniature park covering about 15,000 square meters with detailed scale models at 1:87 ratio showing buildings from East Frisia, Oldenburg, Ammerland, and Berlin regions. The park contains numerous building models, green spaces, and pathways for visitors to explore.
The park opened in 2011 and has presented models of the architectural history of East Frisia and surrounding regions since then. The collection documents buildings and structures from different periods of that area.
The grounds display traditional Frisian architecture and building styles that are visible in the models and structures throughout. The design reflects local construction customs as visitors walk through the park.
The park is easy to walk through with marked pathways between the models that are accessible to all visitors. It is wise to dress appropriately for the weather since much of the visit takes place outdoors.
Around 130 model scenes in the park can be controlled by visitors, with operating trains and vehicles moving through the landscape. These interactive elements make exploring the park an active experience.
