Terme Ilidža

Terme Ilidža is a thermal complex spanning multiple hectares with naturally heated spring water pools located both indoors and outdoors for swimming and wellness. The facility also provides spa services, saunas, and specialized hydrotherapy zones.

The thermal springs at this location have been valued for their healing properties since Roman times, when the settlement was called Aquae Sulphurae. This ancient bathing tradition has continued in different forms to the present day.

The complex blends architectural styles from the Austro-Hungarian era with contemporary designs, showing how Bosnian spa traditions have evolved over time. You can see this mix when walking through the different areas and buildings.

The site is open daily with good facilities designed to accommodate different mobility needs. It is advisable to arrive early, especially on weekends, to avoid busy periods.

A three-kilometer tree-lined avenue connects the complex to the springs of the Bosna river, creating a natural passage through the surrounding area. Many visitors overlook this pathway even though it offers a pleasant walk between the two locations.
