Deichwelle Allwetterbad
Deichwelle Allwetterbad is a water park with indoor and outdoor pools plus sauna facilities in Neuwied. The complex includes a 25-meter sports pool with multiple lanes, separate pools for children and non-swimmers, a 3-meter diving platform with its own basin, and features like water jets and massage stations in the outdoor area.
The facility was built a few years ago to provide a new, safe environment for year-round water recreation that met modern standards for hygiene and comfort. Its construction replaced an older facility in nearby Rengsdorf.
The facility draws its name from its location near a dike in Neuwied and represents open access to water recreation for the community. It serves as a regular gathering place where locals swim, exercise, or spend time together regardless of weather or season.
The complex is accessible for people with disabilities with ramps and wide pathways, and there is ample free parking nearby. Entry tickets are linked to a chip system worn as a wristband, allowing visitors to store belongings in lockers without needing to carry keys.
The sauna area offers two saunas indoors and three in the outdoor section, where staff occasionally provide aromatic sessions with gentle scents. This combination of different sauna rooms and quiet relaxation areas lets visitors customize their wellness experience according to their preference.
