Csillaghegyi strandfürdő és uszoda, Water park in III. kerület, Budapest, Hungary
Csillaghegyi strandfürdő és uszoda is a large indoor bathing and wellness complex in the Csillaghegy neighborhood of Budapest's III. district. It has several pools spread across multiple floors, including a lap pool, children's pools, whirlpools, and a separate sauna section.
The site was originally known as the Árpád spring bath and drew on the natural thermal springs of the area. A major renovation completed in 2018 transformed it into the large indoor complex it is today.
Like many baths in Budapest, this one is used by locals as a regular meeting place, not just for swimming. On weekday mornings, you can see regulars doing their laps or sitting together near the sauna area.
The complex opens early in the morning, and visiting before midday is generally quieter than afternoons or weekends. Some areas, such as the sauna section, are accessible separately from the main pool area and may require a different entry.
The top floor has a pool with open views over the surrounding neighborhood, which is unusual for an indoor facility. The complex also has six different types of saunas, ranging from a classic Finnish sauna to more modern steam variations.
