Plage Cala-Iris

The beach stretches along a crescent-shaped bay with mountains forming natural barriers on both sides and clear blue waters near the shoreline.

The area around Cala Iris contains remnants of ancient Mediterranean trading routes and was once a strategic point for maritime commerce between Europe and Africa.

Local fishermen maintain traditional fishing methods at the Yellich port, bringing fresh catches daily to the fish market built through Moroccan-Japanese collaboration.

Visitors should bring essential supplies as facilities are limited, and the beach requires a short hike from the main road to access.

The beach provides views of the protected Cala Iris Islet, which houses 110 specimens of the rare ribbed Mediterranean limpet species.
