Goldsmith-Schiffman Wildlife Sanctuary, Nature reserve in southeast Huntsville, United States.
The sanctuary encompasses 375 acres of bottomland hardwood forest with open fields and farmland along the Flint River in Alabama.
The land was transferred to the City of Huntsville through a donation from the Goldsmith and Schiffman families to preserve natural habitats.
This protected area serves as a crucial section of the North Alabama Birding Trail, attracting nature observers throughout the year.
Visitors can explore three miles of flat trails through bottomlands and swamps, with designated parking areas and specific access points.
Great Blue Herons and Green Herons hunt for fish in the wetlands, while Belted Kingfishers patrol the waterways of the sanctuary.
