The estate spans over 250 hectares of vineyards, featuring a French-style chateau, two lakes, a restaurant, and cellars storing wines in French oak barrels.
Founded in 1827 as the first specialized winery in Bessarabia by decree of Emperor Nicholas I, Purcari gained international recognition at the 1878 Paris World Expo.
The winery produces Negru de Purcari, a wine that received a gold medal in Paris when French experts initially identified it as a French wine.
Visitors can participate in wine tastings, take winery tours, ride catamarans on the lakes, and cycle through the vineyards from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
The cellars maintain specific temperature and humidity levels for wine maturation, producing two million bottles annually with various collections and limited editions.
