Odesa Raion

Odesa Raion extends along the Black Sea coast, containing urban settlements, commercial ports, and agricultural regions across 3,566 square kilometers.

The district emerged from the 2020 administrative reform that merged several municipalities, including Biliaivka Raion, Illichivsk, and parts of Lyman and Ovidiopol territories.

The district incorporates 22 hromadas, traditional administrative units that preserve local governance structures and community organization within Ukrainian territorial management.

The administrative center operates from the city of Odesa, managing a population of 1,378,490 residents through a network of urban and rural community councils.

This coastal district maintains multiple seaports, including Port Pivdennyi, which facilitate maritime commerce and international trade connections across the Black Sea region.
