Airlie Gardens, Public garden in Wilmington, United States
The Airlie Gardens extends over 67 acres with walking paths through diverse collections of plants, trees, flowers, and Spanish moss-covered oaks.
The gardens originated as a private estate in the early 1900s under the Chapman family ownership until New Hanover County acquired it in 1999.
The gardens maintain educational programs about horticulture, environmental conservation, and local flora while hosting community celebrations throughout the year.
Visitors can access the gardens daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, with admission fees of $9 for adults and $3 for children between 4 and 12 years.
The Airlie Oak stands as a centuries-old tree within the gardens, marking its presence among seasonal blooms and native wildlife species.
