Waikiki Beach

Waikiki Beach is a sand beach on the northeastern coast of Fuerteventura featuring calm, clear waters and wide expanses of fine sand. The shoreline extends for several hundred meters with a gentle slope perfect for swimming, flanked by dunes and coastal vegetation.

The beach began attracting visitors in the 1960s when developers saw its potential for tourism along Fuerteventura's coast. It has since become an established destination for swimmers and beach enthusiasts.

Local fishermen continue their traditional practices near the beach, maintaining connections to the maritime heritage of the Canary Islands.

The beach is easy to reach on foot from Corralejo with parking available nearby for day visitors. Services like shops and eating places are within walking distance along the waterfront.

The sand here combines volcanic rock particles with fragments of shells and marine organisms, creating a distinctive grain. This blend gives the beach a texture and appearance different from other nearby shores.
