Alzada

Alzada is a beach featuring golden sand located in La Oliva, Fuerteventura, extending approximately 840 meters along the coast with a width of about 30 meters. It sits adjacent to the Corralejo dunes and offers gentle shorelines with fine sandy bottom.

The beach was shaped by volcanic processes and natural erosion that sculpted Fuerteventura's northern coastline over thousands of years. These geological forces created the current coastal features and sandy composition.

The beach serves both visitors who prefer traditional swimming and those practicing naturism, with each group enjoying their own sections without friction. This relaxed coexistence reflects a regional openness to different recreational choices.

Visit early in the morning or late afternoon when the sun is less intense and wind conditions are milder. The proximity to Corralejo dunes makes it accessible, but offers little shelter from strong gusts.

The beach benefits from wind shadow created by the Corralejo dunes, keeping it relatively calm even on gusty days. This positioning creates an interesting contrast between the sheltered shoreline and the exposed dune landscape beyond.
