Pantai Prigi

The 4-kilometer coastal stretch features soft sand, gentle waters, and palm trees along the shoreline of the Java Sea in East Java province.

The beach has traditionally supported local fishing communities, with generations of fishermen using the protected bay as a natural harbor since the colonial period.

Local fishermen conduct the annual Larung Sembonyo ceremony at the beach, releasing offerings to the sea as gratitude for abundant marine resources.

The beach entrance fee costs 3,000 rupiah per person, with additional facilities including parking areas, food stalls, and boat rentals for sea excursions.

The surrounding hills create a natural barrier that reduces wave intensity, making this southern Java beach unusually calm for swimming and water activities.
