Agta Beach, Sandy beach in Almeria, Philippines
The beach extends along the eastern coastline of Biliran Island with white sand bordered by palm trees and turquoise waters.
The beach received its name from local folklore about a giant called Agta who was believed to inhabit the coastal area during ancient times.
Local fishermen launch their traditional wooden boats from this beach to catch fish in the surrounding waters of the Visayan Sea.
Visitors can reach the beach by taking a two-hour drive from Tacloban City, followed by local transportation from Naval to Almeria town.
The beach provides direct access to Dalutan Island, which offers swimming and snorkeling opportunities among coral reefs just 15 minutes by boat.
