Calbayog Cathedral

Calbayog Cathedral, also known as the Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, stands on JD Avelino Street as a baroque-style structure with solid stone construction. The building is defined by its prominent dome that rises above the central section of the structure.

The structure was built in 1785 and underwent expansion in 1855 under Father Francisco Juan Moreno de Montalbanejo to accommodate the growing community. Its formal consecration took place in 1913, marking a major milestone in the building's history.
