Biri Larosa Protected Landscape and Seascape

Biri Larosa is a protected marine area in Northern Samar covering more than 33,000 hectares of ocean territory. The area includes seven large rock formations, coral reefs, mangrove forests, and the waters surrounding them.

The Philippine government established this protected zone in 2000 to safeguard the island ecosystems and marine resources in the area. The formal designation came from recognizing the need to preserve the natural environment and its biodiversity.
