Crique de Port Maria

Crique de Port Maria is a coastal beach in Locmaria formed by two separate sandy coves that shift with the tides. The shoreline features natural sandy areas shaped by the movement of water throughout the day.

This site once functioned as one of France's smallest ports with limited mooring capacity. It served as a working harbor before modern infrastructure changed the coastal landscape.

The beach maintains its traditional character as a meeting point for local fishermen who launch their small boats from the natural harbor.

The beach has minimal facilities but offers parking nearby. Swimming conditions depend heavily on tidal movements, which change water levels and access throughout the day.

At low tide, vast sand areas emerge that are normally submerged by water. This transformation makes the beach look completely different depending on when you visit.
