Alès Plage

Alès Plage is a city beach on the Gardon River with a sandy area between two bridges in the town center. The beach provides a swimming area and space for relaxation and gatherings without requiring travel to coastal beaches.

The beach was created about a decade ago by the city to offer residents a summer destination without traveling far. The project grew from the desire to provide a local place for recreation and leisure during warm months.

The beach serves as a gathering place where locals spend time with family and friends during warm months. Evening events with regional performers and dance music bring the community together throughout the summer season.

Water quality is monitored daily and the swimming area is supervised during the season, ensuring safe conditions for bathing. The beach offers multiple uses, from simple relaxation to active water sports and recreational activities.

Geese and water birds inhabit the riverside area, adding natural life to the beach setting. These wild residents make every visit feel connected to the river's ecosystem.
