Le Cannelle

Le Cannelle is a sandy beach in a gently curved bay with golden sand, flanked by large granite rocks and Mediterranean vegetation on either side. Rocky outcrops create natural sections along the shore and provide shelter in different parts of the beach.

The beach sits in an area with a rich maritime past, where trade vessels from various ancient cultures sailed through these waters. These shores were part of important trade routes that connected the Mediterranean world.

Fishermen from the island use this beach as a working point, regularly delivering their fresh catch to nearby restaurants throughout the day. This daily practice ties the shore to the local community and their traditional livelihood.

The beach offers rentals for sunbeds and umbrellas, with restaurants and bathroom facilities located nearby along the shore. The rocky areas naturally provide spots to rest and allow visitors to explore different points along the coast.

The seafloor slopes very gradually, creating natural swimming zones between the granite formations roughly 50 meters from shore. This gentle descent makes the location particularly safe for swimming and allows visitors to explore the rock formations from the water.
