Spiaggia Sansone

Sansone Beach is a shingle beach on the northern shore of Elba Island that stretches roughly 300 meters along the Mediterranean, featuring white pebbles and limestone cliffs. A prominent rock formation naturally divides the beach into two distinct coves with different water depths.

The beach formed through geological processes spanning millions of years, with white felsite rocks creating the distinctive shoreline. The proximity to the Enfola peninsula influenced the natural development of this coastal formation.

The beach serves as a gathering spot for swimmers and snorkelers throughout the summer months, with separate coves offering distinct experiences. The natural divisions create informal zones where visitors naturally congregate based on their preferred water depth and activity type.

A walking path from the parking area leads to the beach in about 15 minutes. Umbrella and lounger rentals are available on site to make your visit more comfortable.

The beach is notable for how its two coves support distinct marine ecosystems with noticeably different water conditions. Each section attracts different types of sea life and visitors often discover marine creatures rarely seen in the other cove.
