Spiaggia dei Colombi

Spiaggia dei Colombi is a sandy beach along the Adriatic coast in Vieste, framed by white limestone cliffs. The shoreline features natural rock formations rising from the water and scattered Mediterranean shrubs along the upper beach area.

This beach forms part of Gargano National Park, established in 1991 to protect the Apulian peninsula's natural landscape. The area has a long history of fishing activity, with generations of coastal communities depending on the Adriatic for their livelihoods.

Local fishermen maintain traditional fishing practices in the waters near the beach, contributing to the regional seafood gastronomy.

The beach is easily accessible during summer months and has showers plus a beachfront bar for refreshments. Umbrellas and sunbeds can be rented from June to September, and the smaller coves nearby offer quieter alternatives to the main sandy area.

Natural caves along the shoreline contain limestone formations that are millions of years old. These cavities were once used as shelter by people living in the area and now reveal layers of geological time.
