Spiaggia di Scialara, Beach in Vieste, Italy

The three-kilometer Scialara beach extends along the Adriatic Sea with golden sand and clear waters at the base of limestone cliffs.

The area surrounding Scialara beach transformed from agricultural land and wetlands with vineyards into a coastal tourism destination during the 20th century.

Small freshwater streams called 'currènd' in local dialect flow through artificial canals from the hills into the sea, marking the beach's agricultural past.

The beach provides numerous bathing establishments, a flat waterfront for walking, and shallow waters suitable for families with children.

The Pizzomunno limestone monolith rises 25 meters high near the beach, creating a natural landmark visible from multiple vantage points.
