Calette del Capitolo

Calette del Capitolo is a beach featuring sandy sections mixed with limestone rock formations that create small coves along the Adriatic coastline. The shoreline alternates between flat sandy areas and rocky sections, offering different swimming options.

The area was defended in the 16th century by Torre Cintola, a coastal watch tower built to guard against maritime attacks. This tower still stands today as a reminder of the strategic importance of this coastline.

Local fishermen work near the shore and sell their daily catch to visitors and nearby restaurants as part of everyday coastal life. This practice connects the community to the sea and shapes how people interact with the water.

The beach has both public and private areas with parking available nearby. Restaurants and cafés are within walking distance, making it easy to eat and drink during your visit.

Natural limestone inlets create several secluded swimming spots with varying water depths. Visitors can choose between areas with deep water for diving and shallow sandy zones.
