Praia Vale do Olival

The beach extends along the Algarve coastline with golden sand bordered by natural limestone cliffs and Mediterranean vegetation covering the surrounding area.

The area near Vale do Olival beach contains remnants of ancient coastal settlements dating back to Roman times when fishing was the primary economic activity.

Local fishermen maintain traditional fishing practices at Vale do Olival, using small boats to catch sardines and sea bass during early morning hours.

The beach provides designated parking areas, two restaurants serving fresh seafood, and maintains lifeguard services from June through September.

During low tide, visitors can walk through a natural stone arch formation that connects Vale do Olival to the neighboring Praia dos Beijinhos.
