Praia das Furnas

The 180-meter-long beach sits between two limestone cliffs with Mediterranean vegetation, featuring soft sand and transparent waters perfect for swimming.

The beach received its name from natural caves carved into the limestone cliffs over centuries of erosion by wind and water forces.

Many naturist visitors from across Europe select this beach for its secluded location and natural surroundings away from commercial developments.

Visitors need to bring essential supplies as the beach offers no facilities, and access requires navigation through an unpaved road from Raposeira.

The eastern section contains numerous natural caves that provide shelter spots, while a small stream occasionally flows into the ocean on the western end.
