Praia das Furnas, Sand beach in Budens, Portugal
Praia das Furnas is a sand beach roughly 180 meters long situated between two limestone cliffs with Mediterranean plants. The water is clear and suitable for swimming and bathing.
The name comes from natural caves carved into the limestone cliffs over centuries by erosion from wind and water. These formations continue to shape how the place looks today.
The beach draws visitors seeking a clothing-optional environment in a natural setting. People appreciate its remote location, removed from typical beach commercialization.
There are no facilities at the beach, so bring everything you need. Access is through an unpaved road from Raposeira.
The eastern side contains several natural caves that provide shelter spots. A small stream occasionally flows into the ocean at the western end.
