Praia da Ingrina

Praia da Ingrina is a shell-shaped beach with white sand tucked between limestone platforms and tall cliffs that form a natural cove. The water here is clear and the seafloor features extensive rocky formations.

The surrounding area contains numerous limestone menhirs and megalithic structures from prehistoric times in the Algarve. These ancient monuments show that people lived and gathered in this region thousands of years ago.

Local fishermen work the coast in traditional ways and supply the family restaurant here with fresh seafood daily.

The beach has a small parking area and lifeguards are on duty during the warmer months. Showers and restrooms are available, and it is wise to check the tide and water conditions before swimming.

The water starts shallow near shore but drops quickly, making it good for both beginners and experienced swimmers. This rapid depth change creates distinct zones for different water activities.
