Praia da Bela Vista

Praia da Bela Vista is a sandy beach located south of Lisbon along the Atlantic coast, featuring a wide shoreline backed by natural dunes. The area spans several hundred meters with open water access and soft sand throughout.

The beach was founded in 1995 as Portugal's first official nude beach, marking an important turning point in the country's naturist history. This official recognition allowed the community to flourish and establish itself openly.

The beach serves as a meeting place where people from different backgrounds and communities come together throughout the day. Visitors can observe how different groups share the same space while maintaining their own routines and social circles.

The beach is accessible by car with parking available nearby, making it easy to reach by private transport. Public transportation also connects the area to Lisbon, offering an alternative for visitors without a vehicle.

Two kitesurfing schools operate on the beach, bringing motion and color to the coastline throughout the year. These schools take advantage of the local wind conditions to teach and practice the sport.
