Praia do Malhão Norte

Praia do Malhão Norte extends along the Atlantic coast with a wide sandy shoreline backed by natural dunes and rock formations at its southern end.

The beach remains unchanged since its incorporation into the Southwest Alentejo Natural Park, which restricted development to preserve its natural state.

The northern section of the beach maintains a long-standing tradition as a designated area for naturist activities, reflecting local acceptance of this practice.

Visitors need to bring their own supplies as the beach lacks infrastructure, with no lifeguards, restaurants, or rental facilities available.

The beach divides into two distinct sections at high tide due to the Galés rock formation, creating separate environments for different beach activities.
