Praia dos Buizinhos

The beach stretches along a sheltered cove with golden sand, surrounded by tall limestone cliffs and scattered rock formations near the shoreline.

This natural inlet has served as a protected landing point for local fishermen since the establishment of Porto Covo's fishing community in the 18th century.

The beach name originates from the numerous small seashells that wash up on its shores, which local artisans collect to create traditional decorative pieces.

Access to the beach requires descending a long stairway from the western clifftop, where visitors can find a viewing platform with coastal perspectives.

During low tide, the exposed rock pools reveal a collection of marine life, including starfish, small crabs, and various species of mollusks.
