Playa de la Franca

Playa de la Franca is a coastal beach in Ribadedeva stretching roughly 260 meters with white sand bounded by towering limestone cliffs and eucalyptus trees. The water features moderate waves suitable for swimming, while the surrounding landscape displays the typical character of Spain's northern coast.

This beach has served as a fishing ground since ancient times, when local fishermen worked these waters with small traditional boats. Over the centuries, the bay maintained its natural form and remained central to the region's maritime economy.
