Main Beach

Main Beach is a recreational area with a bath house, fishing pier, boat launch, and three basketball courts along Crystal Lake's eastern shore. The entire facility spans 27 acres and offers varied options for water sports and court games.

The bath house was originally built as the administrative headquarters for the Crystal Lake Park District during the park's early development years. This structure is a remnant from the facility's earliest period.

The Pavilion Room serves as a gathering place where residents attend fitness classes and participate in neighborhood events. People regularly use this space for community activities and social occasions.

The beach operates from late May through early September and provides visitor access to water and sports facilities. It is helpful to check current opening times and access guidelines before planning a visit.

During winter months, the beach area transforms into a prepared ice skating surface. This seasonal change offers a completely different way to enjoy the lake when cold weather arrives.
