Sister Bay beach

Sister Bay Beach is a sand beach along Lake Michigan featuring approximately 600 feet (185 meters) of shoreline with various visitor facilities. The beach provides kayak rentals, swimming areas, picnic tables, restrooms, and a children's playground.

The beach grew from a small shoreline in the early 1900s into a modern public waterfront destination. This development made it the largest public waterfront in Door County.

The outdoor stage hosts regular summer concerts and theater performances that bring the community together. These events shape the summer rhythm of the waterfront and draw visitors from across the region.

The beach is easily walkable and connects directly to the harbor and downtown area where restaurants and shops are located. Lifeguards are present during summer months, and parking is readily available for visitors.

The beach is known as a popular spot for marriage proposals because of its scenic lakeside location and proximity to cozy restaurants. This connection to romantic moments makes it a special destination for couples.
