East End Beach

East End Beach stretches along the Gulf of Mexico with white sand shores and clear waters, offering views of boats passing through Mobile Bay.

The beach sits near Fort Gaines, a coastal defense fortification that witnessed the Battle of Mobile Bay during the American Civil War in 1864.

Local fishermen gather at the 250-foot pier throughout the year to catch various fish species while sharing techniques and stories with visitors.

The beach provides three boat launches, parking for 20 vehicles, and operates daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM with an entrance fee of $10.35.

Visitors can observe dolphins swimming near the shore while pelicans dive for fish in the waters between Dauphin Island and Fort Morgan.
