Konoko Falls & Park

Konoko Falls & Park is a natural site in Ocho Rios with multiple tiers of waterfalls flowing through tropical gardens filled with native plants. The property combines cascades, lush vegetation, and coastal access all in one location.

The grounds once served as a settlement for the Taino indigenous people who lived near this water source. The land later developed into a recreational area after European colonization displaced the original inhabitants.

The museum on the grounds displays artifacts from the Taino indigenous people and explains their traditional way of life. The exhibits offer insight into the culture of those who lived here long before European arrival.

The park operates during daylight hours and has pathways leading to the various waterfall levels. Comfortable shoes are recommended as the paths can be wet and slippery.

The park features a dedicated aviary section where visitors can observe native Jamaican bird species including Barn Owls and other rare birds. This part of the grounds is often less visited than the waterfalls but offers a closer look at local wildlife.
