Site Agbogbo Sanctuaire Du Peuple Ewe, Sacred shrine of the Ewe people in Notse, Togo.

The shrine features extensive earthen walls spanning 14 kilometers and rising two meters wide, forming a ceremonial enclosure for gatherings.

Built during the 16th and 17th centuries under King Agokoli's reign, the site marks where the Ewe people departed from their ancestral settlement.

The Agbogbo-Za ceremony takes place annually in September, recreating the historical exodus of the Ewe people through traditional performances.

Visitors must obtain permission from local authorities before entering the shrine grounds and follow specific dress codes during ceremonial events.

The walls divide the space into two distinct sections: Agbogbo for newer structures and Agbogbovi for original historical elements.
