Telesfor

Telesfor is a bronze statue positioned at the entrance of Wrocław Television Studio, depicting a dwarf operating a movie camera. The figure stands in a working pose, as if actively documenting the daily life and activities unfolding around the studio.

The statue was installed in 2007 as a tribute to a character from a 1970s Polish children's television program. It emerged during the growth of Wrocław's dwarf tradition, which had already become established in the city's cultural landscape.

The statue is one of more than 300 dwarf figures spread across the city, rooted in a tradition that emerged as a form of silent resistance decades ago. Today, locals treat these sculptures as part of their neighborhood identity, often stopping by to acknowledge them during their daily routines.

The statue can be found on Karkonoska Street using dwarf maps available at tourist information centers or through online resources dedicated to the city's dwarves. Visiting during daylight hours will give you the best view of the figure and its surroundings near the studio entrance.

This figure stands out as the only dwarf cameraman in the entire collection spread across the city. Its role as a film operator distinguishes it from all the other dwarves you will encounter throughout Wrocław.
