Krasnal Szczęściarze

Krasnal Szczęsciarze consists of two identical bronze dwarves pushing against each other to create a symmetrical composition at street level. The figures are positioned to form a balanced, mirrored shape that draws the eye from multiple angles.

The statue was installed in 2008, connecting to the Orange Alternative movement that used dwarf imagery to protest against communist control in Poland. This artistic tradition continued after communism and became an enduring cultural symbol of the city.

These figures belong to a collection of over 350 dwarf sculptures scattered across Wroclaw, forming a network of small bronze artworks throughout the city.

Visitors can locate the statue using the official dwarf map available at tourist information centers or through dedicated mobile applications. The statue sits at street level and is easily accessible to pedestrians walking through the neighborhood.

The twin dwarves represent the mythological character of Sisyphus pushing against each other rather than rolling a boulder uphill. This playful reimagining of a classical myth transforms a story of endless suffering into a moment of mutual effort.
