Wodziarz

Wodziarz is a bronze dwarf statue roughly at knee height that shows a small figure carrying water. The sculpture is part of a collection of such figures scattered around the old town at different street corners and public spaces.

This statue was installed in 2011 and belongs to a series that began in 2001 to honor the Orange Alternative movement. The movement was a peaceful protest response to the political system of that time.

The figure represents one of hundreds of small sculptures spread throughout the city, each with its own theme and character. People often touch or photograph these statues as part of exploring the old town.

The statue sits in the busy old town among cafes and shops. It is easy to reach and can be part of a walking exploration of the historic district.

Among the city's many dwarfs, this water carrier is surprisingly easy to miss because it sits tucked beside a busy street corner. Many visitors walk past without noticing it, making a chance discovery feel like a small reward.
