Halabardnik

Halabardnik is a bronze dwarf figure standing 30 centimeters tall, depicted holding a halberd, a medieval pole weapon with a pointed blade. This statue sits within the Old Town district, part of a series of similar sculptures that occupy various corners of the city.

The statue was installed on January 15, 2008, emerging from a unique artistic initiative that transformed Wrocław with dwarf sculptures. This collection began as a creative vision and has since become a defining feature of the city's cultural landscape.

The bronze figure is part of a large collection of dwarf statues spread throughout Wrocław, each showing a different profession or activity from Polish society. Seeing them scattered across the old streets creates a playful sense of discovery for visitors walking through the area.
