The statue was installed on May 23, 2017, joining hundreds of other dwarf sculptures that emerged from the Orange Alternative movement against communist control.

This dwarf statue represents the continuing tradition of placing bronze figures throughout Wrocław, which started as political expression and evolved into municipal art.

Visitors can locate BeDeusz using specialized dwarf hunting maps available at tourist information centers and digital applications throughout Wrocław.

BeDeusz contributes to the largest collection of permanent dwarf sculptures in any European city, with over 600 figures spread across Wrocław's streets.
