Form Design Center

The Form Design Center occupies half-timbered buildings arranged around a central cobblestone courtyard in central Malmö. The spaces inside showcase contemporary design, architecture, and applied arts through galleries and exhibition rooms.

The buildings date back to the 16th century and retain their original timber-frame structure. Later, the site was transformed into a design museum to support Malmö's role as a center for contemporary art and craft.

The center shows rotating exhibitions focused on Scandinavian and international design, exploring how objects and spaces are made and used. These displays help visitors understand how design choices shape the world around them.

The galleries are open on different days, with varying hours depending on the day of the week. Visitors should plan enough time to properly explore the current exhibitions and the courtyard area.

The museum provides information about design routes throughout Malmö, connecting architectural landmarks with contemporary design sites across the city. These self-guided routes let visitors explore design beyond the museum courtyard itself.
