City Creek Center

City Creek Center is a shopping mall in downtown Salt Lake City with more than 100 stores spread across its retail floors. The building features two outdoor plazas and a artificial waterway that runs through the property.

The shopping center opened in 2012 and incorporated preserved facades from two older buildings that once stood on the site. This blending of old and new architecture defines the overall appearance of the development.

The waterway running through the center takes its name from the original creek that sustained Salt Lake City's founding residents. Visitors encounter this water feature as part of their stroll, connecting their shopping experience to the city's origins.

The center is easy to navigate on foot and has an intuitive layout that helps visitors find their way around. Shoppers can move through most areas without worrying about weather since a retractable glass roof covers the main passages.

The glass roof system opens and closes automatically based on weather conditions and the time of year. This allows shoppers to enjoy an open-air experience while staying protected when rain or snow arrives.
