BattleKart Arcachon, Augmented reality karting complex in La Teste-de-Buch, France
BattleKart Arcachon is a karting venue with a 1500-square-meter track where electric karts race while images project onto the ground in real time. The venue blends traditional racing with digital elements that create obstacles and challenges directly on the surface below.
The facility traces back to a concept developed by Belgian engineer Sebastien Millecam, which launched in Mouscron in 2015 before expanding across Europe. This venue represents part of that growing network that spread through multiple countries over time.
The facility incorporates television-style quiz rooms where participants compete using buzzers for general knowledge contests and music recognition challenges.
Visitors need to be at least 1.45 meters tall to drive the karts, and both beginners and experienced drivers can participate equally. It helps to wear comfortable clothing and arrive a bit early to get familiar with the controls before your race begins.
Ceiling-mounted projectors create constantly changing digital elements that drivers must navigate in real time during their races. This blend of physical driving and virtual obstacles makes every race different and keeps the experience unpredictable.
