Located at the base of Dune du Pilat, La Corniche provides extensive views across Arcachon Bay and the Atlantic Ocean from its elevated position.
Originally constructed as a Basque hunting lodge in the 1930s, the site underwent a complete transformation by designer Philippe Starck in 2010.
The observation point represents the connection between land and sea, where visitors can observe traditional oyster farming activities in Arcachon Bay.
The viewpoint features dedicated parking facilities, stairs for beach access, and daily surveillance services from 11 AM to 7 PM during summer months.
The location offers direct views of Banc d'Arguin, where the meeting of ocean currents creates an ever-changing sandbank formation.
