SENSAS Bordeaux, Family entertainment center in Chartrons district, Bordeaux, France
SENSAS Bordeaux is an entertainment center in the Chartrons district where visitors work through six different sensory workshops to test their perception abilities. The spaces are designed to challenge the senses through interactive tasks and guided experiences.
The center was established as part of an effort to expand recreational activities in Bordeaux beyond the city's traditional wine-focused tourism. It emerged to offer visitors new ways to understand sensory perception through immersive experiences.
The center helps visitors understand how sensory perception works while supporting a charitable purpose. Participants can donate their earned tokens to local organizations, giving the experience a meaningful social dimension.
The facility welcomes visitors from age 7 onward, with each session lasting around two hours and accommodating groups of up to ten people. Wearing comfortable clothes is advisable since you'll be moving around and spending extended time in specially designed environments.
A significant portion of the experience takes place in complete darkness, with a specialized guide leading visitors through the challenges. This intense environment allows participants to rely more heavily on their other senses and discover how their perception adapts.
