BeachMitte

BeachMitte is a sports complex with 49 beach volleyball courts built on a large sandy surface in Berlin's central Mitte district. The facility includes outdoor terraces, rest areas, and changing rooms with shower facilities for all visitors.

The complex was built in the early 2000s when Berlin was transforming industrial areas into recreation spaces for residents. This project helped reshape the central districts into places where people could spend leisure time outdoors.

BeachMitte brings together people from across Berlin for casual sports and leisure. The venue feels like a beach club where strangers become teammates, and a real social scene develops around the courts throughout the year.

You can book courts online up to 14 days in advance and rent equipment at the counter. The venue is easily accessible by public transport and has sufficient parking available for visitors.

The complex offers 30 beach lodges that sleep up to four people each, allowing guests to stay right at the volleyball courts. This overnight option makes it an unusual weekend destination where visitors can combine sport and accommodation in one place.
