Les Ajoncs d'or, Coastal campground in La Baule-Escoublac, France
Les Ajoncs d'Or is a coastal vacation site on the French Atlantic shore with around 220 shaded pitches and modern mobile homes. The grounds spread across seven different sections, each offering a range of accommodation options from basic camping spots to well-equipped lodges.
This vacation facility came into existence in the mid-twentieth century when the French coast became a popular destination for families seeking seaside holidays. The site developed alongside La Baule-Escoublac as coastal vacationing grew in appeal among visitors from the country.
The site brings together guests from different places who gather for boule games or share meals outdoors in the summer season. The traditional French way of spending time by the coast shapes how visitors experience their days at this location.
The grounds are located roughly 1.5 kilometers from the sandy beaches, making them easy to reach for day trips. An indoor heated pool and water slides are available on site, with the main season running from April through September.
The seven different zones were designed so that each section has its own character and appeals to different types of visitors. This arrangement allows families with tents to stay alongside those preferring mobile homes, all within the same grounds.
