Marina di Venezia
Marina di Venezia is a campground on the Cavallino-Treporti peninsula, right along the edge of the Venice lagoon. The site offers pitches for tents and caravans, mobile homes, sanitary facilities, a small shop, and leisure areas near a sandy beach.
The campground was established in the second half of the 20th century, as the Venice lagoon area began attracting growing numbers of visitors. The Cavallino-Treporti peninsula gradually became one of the main camping destinations in northeastern Italy during that period.
The name Marina di Venezia, meaning "Venice Marina", reflects how closely this place is tied to the lagoon city just across the water. Visitors staying here often live between two worlds: the calm of the sandy beach and the energy of Venice just a short ferry ride away.
The site sits on the Cavallino-Treporti peninsula, where ferries connect visitors to Venice and the lagoon islands. Going early in the morning helps avoid the heaviest crowds on the boats, especially in summer.
The Cavallino-Treporti peninsula is almost entirely covered by camping areas and is considered one of the most concentrated camping regions in Europe. This site is part of that long tradition, sitting within a stretch of coastline that has been shaped by camping tourism for decades.
