Esterel
Esterel is a five-star campsite spread across 19 hectares of pine forest between the Esterel mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, with 495 pitches. The accommodation includes 331 mobile homes and 164 caravan pitches, all equipped with air conditioning, television, and wireless internet.
The campsite was established in 1976 by the Laroche family and became the first facility in the Var region to receive five-star classification in 2011. This recognition marked a turning point for camping tourism in this southern French area.
The site takes its name from the nearby Esterel mountains and reflects the Provençal way of life. Visitors can play traditional southern French games like pétanque or join evenings featuring regional dishes from the Côte d'Azur.
The pine forest setting provides shade and natural cooling during warm months, while proximity to the sea allows easy beach visits. Visitors should expect some steep or uneven paths due to the hillside location with its natural terrain variations.
The resort features a heated water park with five swimming pools and water slides that remain open year-round. Some accommodations come with private jacuzzis and pools, a feature rarely found at this level.
